France ETIAS for Trinidad & Tobago Citizens

Starting in 2026, nationals of Trinidad and Tobago will require an ETIAS to visit France. This electronic visa waiver is meant to strengthen Schengen border controls and increase the security of nationals and visitors by pre-screening all travellers.

The ETIAS will be available to citizens of over 50 countries, including Trinidadians, who are currently visa-exempt to visit France for short-term stays of up to 90 days. In the future, the ETIAS France may be extended to more citizens worldwide.

Citizens of Trinidad & Tobago are currently visa-exempt for short-term trips to France. The only entry requirement is having a valid passport.

However, Trinidadians will soon require an approved ETIAS to be allowed entry into the Schengen Area and France.

The Trinidad & Tobado passport must be no older than 10 years on the day of arrival in France.

In addition to these mandatory entry requirements, travellers from Trinidad and Tobago may also be asked to provide proof that they can maintain themselves during their stay, such as a bank statement.

Travellers must be aware that the ETIAS does not replace a visa. The visa waiver is only valid for short-term stays of up to 90 days within any 180 days for tourism, business, study, or transit. Travellers from Trinidad and Tobago to France who need to stay longer than 90 days will require a visa alongside their ETIAS.

The ETIAS France for Trinidadians will be valid for three years from the date of issuance or until the date of expiry of the passport, whichever comes first. The ETIAS will allow citizens to travel to any of the Schengen Area countries and will be valid for multiple entries within the validity period.
