Requirements for Emiratis
The ETIAS visa waiver for France is being implemented to strengthen border security in the Schengen Area following a rise in safety threats in Europe. Similarly to nationals from 60 other countries, Emiratis traveling to France for tourism, leisure, business or medical purposes in 2021 onwards will be required to apply for an electronic ETIAS travel authorization.
ETIAS will grant a maximum of a 90-days stay within any 180-day period from the date of entering the Schengen Area. For longer stays with purposes such as studying, working, or living in France, there are several types of visas available. Travelers who need a visa must contact either the French Embassy in Abu Dhabi or the Consulate General in Dubai.

Medical Information for Emiratis
The French medical system can be very expensive for travelers. Emirati tourists should, therefore, have good medical/travel insurance coverage. Foreign visitors are usually required to pay for any medical services before they can receive treatment, with the exception of emergency cases. For emergency medical services in France, dial 122 for any type of emergency or 15 for life-threatening conditions.
Travelers from the United Arab Emirates should also verify that their prescription medications are legal in France. It is highly recommended to carry all medicines in their original, clearly labeled packaging along with the prescription.
